Event Details

Just a few years ago, mentioning "cryptocurrency" would have led one to think of something semi illegal. This has completely changed - digital currencies are going mainstream and are increasingly embraced by companies, governments, and individuals globally. According to a recent study by Allied Market Research, the cryptocurrency market will more than triple over this decade, to reach $4.94 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 12.8%. And the fastest growth is set to be in Asia.

Cryptocurrencies offer a decentralised form of transaction without the involvement of any intermediaries, making it more convenient, fast and transparent. The growth of digital payments have helped establish the use of cryptocurrencies, together with the widespread acceptance of digital tokens by millennials and Generation Z.

But what is it, really? What do I need to know - and why should I care?

In this SwedCham session, Mr Daniel Daboczy, CEO of Technicorum Group, will take us through the basics of the crypto industry and explain why it is not only important to stay on top of what is happening in this growing market - it is absolutely essential in order to understand how the global monetary system will develop over the coming decade.

As the founder and former CEO of Swedish-based FundedByMe, Mr Daboczy led Europe's fastest-growing equity and reward-based crowdfunding platform, working with connecting investors and entrepreneurs. He took the initial idea to the stock market and helped fund over 650 companies with more than $85 million in the process. Earlier this year, Mr Daboczy joined Technicorum, based in Singapore, as CEO. Technicorum comprises of several subsidiaries, some of which are regulated, specializing in various verticals in the Digital Assets space, with a one-stop-shop capability to launch, incubate and bring to the global market any blockchain, digital asset, fintech, NFT, DeFi project. The company is primarily responsible for the KingSwap project, with references of over 100 ICO's worked on in the past 4 years through its subsidiaries.
