Have you heard about SwedCham's new local outreach initiative the Green Innovation Centre in Bukit Batok? Are you curious to find out more what this innovative partnership is all about?

COME AND VISIT!

We cordially invite SwedCham's business community together with their families to join us at Cosy Garden in Bukit Batok on Saturday 26 August at 9:15-11:30 am for a morning of knowledge-sharing around sustainability, fun-filled activities for kids, opportunities to connect with nature and make new, interesting encounters in the heartlands of Singapore.

Through this unique partnership, sponsored by 13 SwedCham companies and launched on 8 June 2023, SwedCham has linked arms with a garden community in Bukit Batok, South West CDC,People's Association and Bukit Batok's Grassroot Organisations to create a green hub at Cosy Garden, a community garden which has been lovingly built by local volunteers over the past decade, where people of all ages can meet and learn about sustainable urban living. Based on a collaborative bottom-up process, the project aims to support the local community in exploring a sustainable urban lifestyle with knowledge, solutions and services around the 5Rs (Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose & Recycle) and green living (gardening and connecting with nature).

Most of our MNC and SME partners will be represented during this morning session to give you hands-on explanations of all the cool things that have installed in the garden, such as a renewable energy loop powered by solar, smart security solutions, smart rodent traps, a rainwater harvesting system, low-carbon concrete pathways, a net zero outdoor living room, a therapeutic garden... Volunteers from Cosy Garden will also be there to share their wealth of knowledge on traditional gardening, hydroponic gardening, composting and to explain how this city oasis came about a decade ago. For the younger ones, there will be a recycling workshop for kids of all ages as well as a digital explorer trail to follow in the garden to learn more about sustainability.
