Digital Trade is the New World Order regardless of the nature of the goods or services involved. Whilst the last mile still depends on physical logistics, there are a number of regulatory hurdles that must be managed when we look at digital trade.
To this end, a number of free trade agreements involving the digitalisation of trade are starting to sprout including most recently the UK-Singapore Digital Trade Agreement. The EU and Singapore are also in discussion to strengthen their partnership on digital trade. With these advances in discussions, trade agreements and local laws, what is it that businesses must be alert to?
In this session, Ms Kala Anandarajah, Partner and Head of Competition & Antitrust and Trade, Ms Tanya Tang, Partner and Chief Economic & Policy Advisor and Mr Alvin Tan, Partner, Competition & Antitrust, and Trade Practice, Rajah & Tann Singaporewill discuss macro issues but also deep dive into critical compliance issues that businesses must be aware of. This includes looking into exports control, how to take advantage of preferential treatment, complying with data protection and consumer protection laws, managing competition/antitrust concerns, and arriving at a common landing between the different laws of multiple jurisdictions.
Log-in details for the webinar will be sent to registered participants prior to the event.
