Event Details

2020 has been somewhat a challenging year for most of us and it is only natural to feel overwhelmed with emotions and thoughts about what the future might hold.

We can all benefit from some emotional understanding and support and with this in mind Alice Wikström, Mindfulness and Compassion Teacher and Emotional Wellness Coach has put together a special event for the members of SwedCham and W4W.

In this 1,5-hour Zoom-workshop we will be given an opportunity, through Mindfulness, to befriend some area of our lives where we might feel stuck or need some attention. Alice will lead us through an experiential meditation she created called "Pause and BeFriend" to support our mental and emotional wellness in this time of great uncertainty, challenge and change. We will receive tools and resources to help bring more Mindfulness and Compassion into our daily lives.

It will be 1.5 hour spent partly in guided meditation connecting to ourselves but also to others as we are invited into small groups for discussions with the aim to break the limiting idea "that I am the only one who think or feel this way".

Date: 20 October

Time: 8-9:30 am with 1 short break for stretching legs

Venue: Zoom - this is a virtual session

What to bring: Notepad, pencil and water bottle.

What to wear: Come as you are and with a curious and open heart

To sign up: Tickets and registration

This event is brought to you by SwedCham's Women4Women Forum.

Mindfulness is moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment, through the lens of compassion. Meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there's a "right" or "wrong" way to think or feel in a given moment.

When we practice mindfulness we tune into what we're experiencing in the present moment without revisiting the past or imagining the future. We become more present for this one and precious life.
