Corporate venturing in Singapore |
SwedCham recently had the opportunity to dig into corporate venturing - an emerging leading tool for companies to incubate and test new business ideas before transforming them into viable ventures. Together with Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and Electrolux, 16 business leaders spent a morning in September learning about EDB's Corporate Venture Launchpad 2.0 (CVL), an expanded S$20 million programme designed to enable companies to launch a new venture from Singapore, and hear from a live business case through Electrolux's new venture Levande Subscription & Services, where the company partnered with one of the programme’s appointed venture studios FutureLabs Ventures on a CVL sprint. The discussion focused on areas such as how to secure buy-in from regional and global management, how to empower entrepreneurs in the internal organisation and where to start when examining emerging opportunities in the region.

Regional HR Directors' Luncheon |

Last month at OTTO Ristorante, SwedCham hosted its first ever Regional HR Directors' Luncheon. After two years plus of health scare, lock-downs, WFH, great resignations, race for talent and general turbulence in the global markets, HR directors have had to keep their heads cool to keep businesses and organisations running. By creating avenues for HR professionals to meet and connect cross-industry, SwedCham hopes to bring value to our membership base within the incredibly important field of human resources and people management. |
