Head of the Economic and Trade Section at EU Delegation to Singapore
Ms Justyna Lasik joined the Delegation of the European Union to Singapore in August 2020 as Head of the Trade and Economic Section.
Prior to this assignment, she worked for over 10 years at the Directorate General for Trade (DG TRADE), European Commission on EU free trade agreements negotiations, in particular with South Korea and Japan. Between 2016 and 2019 she was a member of the European Commission’s Task Force in charge of negotiations of UK’s departure from the EU. She also served as policy assistant to the Director General of DG TRADE covering wide range of issues, including WTO related matters, trade defence instruments and trade relations with the United States.
Ms. Lasik received a BA in European Studies from the Warsaw University, a MA in International Economic Relations from Warsaw School of Economics and a MA in European Studies/Trade Policy from Hamburg University (Europa Kolleg Hamburg).
First Counsellor at EU Delegation to Singapore
Mr Benoît Sauveroche joined the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Singapore in June 2023, as a diplomat in charge of policy dialogue between the EU and Singapore in the areas Communication Networks, Contents and Technology, Research and Innovation, and Transport and Mobility.
He is following the activities run under the EU-Singapore Digital Partnership. Mr Sauveroche worked previously at the Delegation of the EU to India, where he was in charge of the policy dialogue between India and the EU in the areas of digital transformation, migration and mobility, and health and food safety.
Partner and Head, Competition & Antitrust and Trade, at Rajah & Tann Singapore
Ms Kala Anandarajah, always a forerunner in niche areas of the law, practices in Competition (merger control, cartels etc), Trade (export controls, FTAs, sanctions etc), and Consumer Protection. She also has strong practices in Employment, and EHS / ESG.
Named as one of Singapore’s A-List Top 100 Lawyers by Asia Business Law Journal, in 2021, Ms Anandarajah was honoured to have been awarded the Highly Commended Lawyer in Private Practice at the Legal 500 Southeast Asia Awards (one of only two), awarded the Outstanding Achievement by Women in Business Law Awards Asia and recognised as one of only two Most Highly Regarded in the Southeast Asia chapter by Who’s Who Legal: Southeast Asia Competition. She was also the Lexology Client Choice Award Winner in 2023 and 2024 for Trade and Customs.
Ms Anandarajah sits on various boards and was in in 2022 awarded The Public Service Star (Bintang Bakti Masyarakat) and in 2014 awarded the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) which are conferred by the President of Singapore.
Ambassador of Sweden to Singapore
Prior to his appointment as Ambassador of Sweden to Singapore, Ambassador Anders Sjöberg
oversaw the strategic affairs programme at Department for Trade Promotion, Nation Branding
& CSR, Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. He also served on a task force, outlining policies
on aid and trade. He has also been the Coordinator of Sweden’s Export Strategy.
H.E. Sjöberg was previously the Ambassador to Tanzania and Burundi (non-resident) and the East
African Community. He has also been posted as Ambassador to Afghanistan. In the diplomatic
service, he also held the positions Head of Section for South Asia and Deputy Head of Mission
in New Delhi, as well as Deputy Director at the Department for Global Development. Before
joining the Foreign Service, he was Deputy Director at the Swedish Ministry for Industry and
Trade. Earlier in his career he was an Associate Professional Officer at the UN’s Food and
Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome.
H.E. Sjöberg graduated from Stockholm University, Faculty of Social Sciences.
