Kent Härstedt
Swedish Ambassador to Singapore & Brunei at Embassy of Sweden in Singapore
Ambassador Härstedt has held a number of parliamentary and governmental functions.
Prior to his accreditation to Singapore, Ambassador Härstedt served as the Special Envoy of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office. In addition, he remains the Swedish Government’s Special Envoy for the Korean Peninsula.
From 1998 to 2018 H.E Härstedt was a Member of Parliament and served on the Foreign Affairs and Defence Committees. From 2010 to 2018, Härstedt was a member of the Swedish Parliamentary Delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) and acted as head of delegation from 2014 to 2018. H.E Härstedt was OSCE PA Vice-President from 2015 to 2018.
H.E Härstedt took part in 19 international election observation missions and led three of them. Other experiences include serving as a political advisor in various parts of the Swedish Government offices, including the Prime Minister’s Office. H.E Härstedt has also been President of Swedish UNICEF and a board member of the Swedish National Institute for public health, SIDA, the Swedish Institute and more. Härstedt is an experienced and skilled negotiator.
Ambassador Härstedt has studied Political Science and East and South East Asian Program at Lund University.
Rickard Levin
Country Manager Singapore at Business Sweden - The Swedish Trade & Invest Council
Mr Rickard Levin has recently been appointed the role of Country Manager for Business Sweden Singapore. Prior to joining Business Sweden, Mr. Levin was Head of Market Intelligence & Strategy at Nilfisk in Copenhagen.
Mr. Levin brings 13+ years of experience from Commercial Strategy, Organisational Design & Transformation and Lean & Agile methodology. He draws from strong industry experience across technology, telecom, retail and industrial manufacturing.
During his career Mr. Levin have worked and lived in Singapore, China, Indonesia, Taiwan and South Korea. He is educated at Lund University with a M.Sc. in Economic.
Nicholas Song
Managment Consultant at Business Sweden - The Swedish Trade & Invest Council
Mr Nicholas Song is a client-centric, detail-oriented management consulting professional with experience in providing strategic advisory, market research, project management, and business analysis.
In Business Sweden, Mr Song supports tracking political-economic trends and foreign direct investments and has been involved in healthcare, industrials, and manufacturing segment projects. He previously worked at Deloitte Consulting in Strategy and Operations and spent the majority of his time in the financial services sector.
Mr Song currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of California Santa Barbara.
