Magnus Ahlqvist joined Securitas in August 2015 as Divisional President Securitas Services Europe. On March 1, 2018, he assumed the position as President and CEO of Securitas AB, and continued to hold the position as Divisional President Securitas Services Europe until March 2019.

Prior to joining Securitas, he has held various management positions in the telecommunications industry. Magnus has served as Corporate Vice President, EMEA & India after joining Google-owned Motorola Mobility. Before, he worked 12 years for Sony and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications as President for Greater China, General Manager Spain & Portugal and General Manager Canada.

Magnus Ahlqvist holds a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics, and a leadership exam from Harvard Business School.

He is the Chair of the International Security Ligue.

With a diverse career across Singaporean politics, media, international affairs and security, Nicholas provides in-depth knowledge and insights on the Singaporean political and business environment.

Prior to joining The Asia Group, Nicholas served in the Singaporean Parliament as a Nominated Member of Parliament, where he focused on issues pertaining to international affairs, media, defense and security, and sports.

Nicholas is the Founder and Managing Director of a leading strategic communications consultancy Black Dot that provides public relations, media, sponsorship, and marketing consultancy services. The firm’s research arm tracks public sentiment, consumer trends, and marketing issues across different sectors and areas of Singaporean society. Prior to founding the company, Nicholas had a long and notable career in journalism. He was a journalist for almost a decade at The Straits Times and spent multiple years as a business desk editor at Channel News Asia (CNA). He was also a deputy chief editor of Singapore news at national broadcaster Mediacorp.

Nicholas has served as Director of Security and Global Affairs at the Singapore Institute of International Affairs since 2010. He also manages a prominent Singaporean defense company and chairs an expert panel for strategic communications at Singapore’s Ministry of Defense.

Nicholas graduated from Oxford University with a Master of Arts in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics. He received the Public Service Medal at the 2015 National Day Awards. As a former national athlete, Nicholas represented Singapore in fencing and triathlon. He currently resides in Singapore.
