Event Details

Vietnam has during the past 30 years been one of the fastest growing economies in Asia. Political stability and long-term investments in infrastructure and manufacturing industries, as well as their new role as a consumer market, make the country attractive for Swedish companies.

Behind the growth figure lays a steady increase in private consumption which partly depends on the stable inflation and real wage increases. Foreign direct investment in the Vietnamese manufacturing sector is another reason. Sweden has had a long relationship with Vietnam, and was in 1969 the first Western country that established diplomatic relations with the country. In recent years, several Swedish companies have successfully established themselves in the region. A growing middle class has led to increased demand for Swedish goods.

In this Market Outlook session, Mr Björn Savlid, Country Manager Business Sweden Vietnam, will share his knowledge and expertise of the developments in the Vietnamese economy and explain the driving factors of Vietnam's rapid growth. Furthermore Mr Savlid will talk about how Vietnam is affected by US-China trade tensions and what opportunities this create for Swedish companies as well as the challenges and concerns that lays ahead.

Don't miss out and make sure you get the latest on what it takes to succeed for a Swedish company in this market as well as how to grasp the growth opportunities inherent to the Vietnamese economy.
