International Anticounterfeiting and Policy Advisor at International Trademark Association (INTA)

Ms Valentina Salmoiraghi is the Anticounterfeiting and Policy Advisor for the Asia Pacific at the International Trademark Association (INTA). Based in Singapore, Ms Salmoiraghi works in the whole region supporting INTA Anticounterfeiting Committee members and initiatives and identifying IP policy gaps. She focuses on external relations, advocacy and strategic planning.

Ms Salmoiraghi has over 15 years of experience working in Asia in Intellectual Property Rights protection and enforcement. During this period of time, she has worked with various European Chambers of Commerce on their IPR SME projects in China and Vietnam as IP Business Advisor and was also a long-term External IP Expert for the South-East Asia and China IPR SME Helpdesk projects funded by the European Union. She has a background in legal services and worked with leading law firms in Italy, China, and Singapore.

Ms Salmoiraghi holds a Master’s Degree of Law – International Institutions and Organizations from Bocconi University in Milan (Italy) and a Master’s Degree in Law from the University in Barcelona (Spain). She speaks English, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, French and Italian (native).

Born and raised in Hong Kong, after completing business school in France, Mr Xavier de Bure worked for a large French IT company in Germany, then soon after returned to Hong Kong and spent his early career in a French buying office. In 2007, he met Co-Founder and CEO Julien Chaudeurge and started the BABYZEN adventure together. As Co-Founder and Managing Director for the brand, Mr de Bure heads up the Hong Kong office, a subsidiary and regional office, which started out as 1 person to now a team of 30. As the Asia Pacific hub, Me de Bure works closely with headquarter, based in the South of France, to manage the brand’s operations, distribution, product development, with product infringement being one of the key successes that have been achieved in the past couple of years.

Ms Joyce Ang leads brand cooperation efforts within Lazada’s IPR Protection Team, where she focusses on developing Lazada’s dialogue and cooperation with IPR owners, government agencies and organisations to jointly address IPR challenges on the platform and in the wider E-Commerce space.

Ms Ang has spent more than a decade as a legal practitioner advising on matters ranging across the full lifecycle of IPRs – all the time maintaining a strong focus on anti-counterfeiting and brand enforcement strategies. Prior to joining Lazada in 2020, she led brand protection in Southeast Asia for The Walt Disney Company.
