Ms Kala Anandarajah, always a forerunner in niche areas of the law, practices in Competition (merger control, cartels etc), Trade (export controls, FTAs, sanctions etc), and Consumer Protection. She also has strong practices in Employment, EHS / ESG and Telco/Media Laws.

In 2021, Ms Anandarajah was honoured to have been awarded the Highly Commended Lawyer in Private Practice at the Legal 500 Southeast Asia Awards (one of only two), awarded the Outstanding Achievement by Women in Business Law Awards Asia and recognised as one of only two Most Highly Regarded in the Southeast Asia chapter by Who’s Who Legal: Southeast Asia Competition.

Ms Anandarajah sits on various boards and was in 2014 awarded the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) which is conferred by the President of Singapore.

Ms Tanya Tang is a Chief Economic and Policy Advisor with the Competition & Antitrust and Trade Practice. Ms Tang has extensive competition and regulatory experience, having worked in the competition team at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) as well as the Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS), where she was responsible for developing policy frameworks and conducting economic analysis for investigation of competition cases.

Since joining Rajah & Tann, Ms Tang has advised extensively on general and sectoral competition law issues covering the telecoms, media and energy sectors, as well as trade matters. She studied economics at the University of Chicago and holds a Masters in Economics for Competition Law from King’s College London.

Ms Tang has been recognised annually since 2016 as a leading competition economist and consulting expert by Who’s Who Legal.

Mr Alvin Tan is a Partner in Rajah & Tann Singapore LLP. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management and was a civil servant crafting Organisational and Human Resource policies in a central ministry before obtaining his Juris Doctor in Law in 2013.

Mr Tan has assisted clients on a wide range of corporate commercial matters as well as on personal law. He also advises on employment law, advising on termination matters, redundancy, incentive schemes, employment contracts and issues / policies on conduct and whistle-blowing. He also advises regularly on consumer protection and competition-related matters, including compliance and training of in-house counsel.

On trade, he advises regularly on issues such as licensing and import / export requirements including but not limited to strategic goods. He also advises extensively on environmental compliance issues in Singapore.
